River wash gravel is put in the drain trench to aide in water stream. Then we put in Polydrain, an air-gap tech drainage board in the cove place in which the base wall meets the basement floor. This heavy duty constructed drainage matting is bent and put up the wall and above the trench. It raises water drainage and directs intruding water due to hydrostatic pressure to the subgrade tile system. Following the installation of this Polydrain that the trench is sealed with commercial grade concrete.
Towson Interior Basement Waterproofing solutions can also include wall systems. Alternatives are a 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier that’s tucked into the Polydrain and set up normally from floor to ceiling. It’s not difficult to wash, 100% waterproof and does not support mold, mould or bacteria development. For wall regions with higher water content, like corners, problem areas or old construction, Polydrain can be set up complete wall or chest elevated. Additionally, there are commercial grade epoxy and polymeric acrylic coatings available.
