River wash gravel is placed in the drain trench to aide in water stream. Then we install Polydrain, an air-gap tech drainage board in the cove area in which the foundation wall meets the basement floor. This heavy duty constructed drainage matting is bent and placed the wall up and over the trench. It raises water drainage and leads intruding water due to hydrostatic pressure into the subgrade tile system. Following the installation of the Polydrain that the trench is sealed with commercial grade concrete.
Edgewater Interior Basement Waterproofing solutions can also include things like wall systems. Options are a 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier that’s tucked into the Polydrain and installed typically from floor to ceiling. It’s not difficult to clean, 100% waterproof and does not support mold, mildew or bacteria growth. For wall regions with higher water content, like corners, problem areas or old structure, Polydrain can be installed complete wall or chest high. Additionally, there are commercial grade epoxy and polymeric acrylic coatings accessible.
